Headley says ISI asked him to recruit people in BARC for classified information

Mumbai terror attacks convict David Headley Friday came out with more sensational disclosures, including the ISI instruction to recruit people from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) who could collect classified information for the intelligence agency.

On the fourth day of his testimony before a Mumbai special court, the Pakistani-American operative of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) said on the instructions of Major Iqbal, he visited and made video of BARC and then handed it over to him.

He also disclosed that he visited Mumbais Siddhivinayak temple and bought over a dozen sacred wrist bands to hide the identities of the LeT operatives who were to carry out the 26/11 attacks.The LeT operative said Major Iqbal showed unhappiness over Mumbai Airport not being included among the targets.

He surveyed the Naval Air station in Mumbai on Major Iqbals directive and discussed it with LeT operatives. Headley also told that he visited Chabad House in Mumbai and made a video of its premises in 2008 because it was a Jewish community centre.Besides, he also advised the LeT against attacking Nala Air Station and Siddhivinayak Temple as the places were heavily guarded.
