India Clubbed With Uzbekistan, Thailand And Japan In Fed Cup

India, Uzbekistan, Thailand and top seed Japan have been placed in group A of the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/oceeania Zone Group I to be played at the Hua Hin Centennial Sports Club, Hua Hin in Thailand from February 3 to 6.
The Indian team will comprise Sania Mirza, Ankita Raina, Prerna Bhambri and Prarthana G. Thombare Second seed Kazakhstan have been clubbed with China, Korea and Chinese Taipei in Group B. Sweden have been top-seeded in group A of the Europe/Africa Zone Group 1.
Ukraine to be played at Municipal Tennis Centre, Eilat in Israel. Portugal are the other nations in this group. Second seed Great Britain, Georgia, Sout Africa are in Group B. The group C is comprised third seed Croatia, Turkey, Estonia, Israel. Fourth seed Hungary, Belgium, Bulgaria, Lavtia are in Group D. Paraguay have been top-seeded in the Americas Zone Group I to be played at Country Club Las Palmas, Santa Cruz in Bolivia. Colombia, Mexico and Boliva are the other teams in this group.
Second seed Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru are in Group B. The International Tennis Federation has announced the official draws for the three Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Zone Group I event.. The three Zone Group events are Europe/Africa Zone Group I in Eilat, Israel; Americas Zone Group I in Santa Cruz, Bolivia; and Asia/Oceania Zone Group I in Hua Hin, Thailand.
All nations contesting the Zone Group I events will be bidding to qualify for the Fed Cup World Group II play-offs on 16-17 April, with two teams qualifying from the Europe/Africa Zone, and one team from both the Americas and Asia/Oceania Zones.
Five top 50 players will contest Europe/Africa Zone Group I, with Svitolina joined by countrywoman Lesia Tsurenko, Yanina Wickmayer and Alison van Uytvanck of Belgium and Johanna Konta of Great Britain. Teliana Pereira of Brazil and Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan head the nominations for Americas Zone Group I and Asia/Oceania Zone Group I respectively. Nominations for the 2016 Fed Cup World Group and World Group II first round ties on February 6-7 will be announced on January 27.
