India complete 3-0 series sweep against Sri Lanka

India  created history defeating  Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs inside three days in the third and final test to complete a 3-0 whitewash Monday.

The hosts were all out for 181 in their second innings after made to follow on. Sri Lanka were bundled out for 135 on Sunday after India posted 487 in their first innings. India had won both in Galle and Colombo inside four days.

Hardik Pandya was adjudged ‘man of the match’ while Sikhar Dhawan  was awarded as the ‘Man of the Series’.
