India Continue Support To Quake Ravaged Nepal In Reconstruction

India has reiterated that it will stand by Nepal to help in the reconstruction of country devastated after the earthquake besides helping in rescue and relief operations.

Indian Ambassador to Kathmandu Ranjit Rae said India is committed to support Nepal in this crisis and stood in solidarity with people of Nepal. He said, after performing a commendable job in search and rescue of earthquake victims, NDRF teams are going back but Indian Army has been put into service for removal of rubbles with big equipment required for the purpose.

He said Indian Army and Air force are engaged in the relief operation with their 13 helicopters and other highly sophisticated equipment. He said relief materials are being dropped in remote areas by the Indian Air Force helicopters.

Rae said, relief materials are being received in huge quantity from Government of India and other State governments and Non-Government Organisations. He said that about 4000 tons of relief materials have already been received at Kathmandu. He said, India is ready to help to Nepalese people in coming days during monsoon and rehabilitation of displaced people.

All 16 teams of India’s NDRF engaged in search and rescue operations will be left Kathmandu by tomorrow. NDRF has completed its search and rescue operations in all three districts of Kathmandu valley including Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu. 7 teams have been dispatched back to their headquarters this morning.

NDRF has also bind up their medical camps after treating about 2000 injured. After completing first phase of search and rescue operation the rescuers from different countries have started leaving the Himalayan country. Teams of rescuers of Poland, Netherland, Turkey, Germany and France and a section of UK have already moved from the Nepal. Relief Materials are reaching to Kathmandu from International donors on large scale continuously.
