India crosses milestone of administering 200 cr COVID vaccine doses; WHO hails it as evidence of commitment to minimise pandemic impact

New Delhi, July 17

India today crossed the milestone of administering two billion doses of COVID-19 vaccine within 18 months of launching the vaccination drive in January last year.

World Health Organisation, WHO has hailed India for administering over two billion COVID-19 vaccine doses. Talking to AIR News, WHO Regional Director for South-East Asia, Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh said, this is yet another evidence of the country’s commitment and efforts to minimise the impact of the ongoing pandemic.
