India Will Do Its Best To Wipe Out Tears Of Every Nepali Ccitizen : PM Modi

Prime Minister has said India is with Nepal during this hour of crisis and grief. In his broadcast on All India Radio in the Maan ki Baat, Narendra Modi has pledged India’s whole-hearted assistance to Nepal and said Nepal’s pain is India’s pain.

Recalling the Gujarat earthquake in 2001, he said earthquake in Nepal has made all of us very sad. He said for 1.25 billion India, Nepal’s crisis is their own. The Prime minister said India will do its best to wipe out tears of every Nepali citizen.

The prime minister said he has received International accolades as India successfully evacuated citizens of 48 countries from Yemen. Modi said the rescue operations have left an indelible imprint in the world.

Recalling his visit to the World War I memorial in France, the Prime Minister said, India has always stood for peace, happiness and welfare in the world.

Modi called for eradicating manual scavenging on 125th anniversary of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The Prime minister said central government has decided to give land in Mumbai to set up a memorial for Baba Saheb. Prime minister said an International centre in Delhi will also come up so that whole world would come to know the thoughts of the great man Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

He said a single person in the country should not remain illiterate.

Expressing happiness over Sania Mirza’s achievement for her number one ranking in tennis doubles and Saina Nehwal’s number one ranking in Badminton, the prime minister congratulated the duo for their stellar performances.

Expressing anguish over the behaviour of some people after India’s loss to Australia in the World cup cricket, he said people should learn to take defeat gracefully and said victory and defeat are part of life.
