India wins gold in men, women marathon at SAG

India started the eighth day of ongoing 12th South Asian Games on a winning note, clinching golds in both men and women marathon.
Nitender Singh Rawat won the gold for India in the men’s event. The silver and bronze medals were bagged by Cooray Anuradha Indrajith of Sri Lanka and Khetha Ram of India respectively.
In women’s marathon, India’s Kavitha Taut clinched the gold. The silver was won by NG Rajasekera and bronze by BGL Anuradhi, both of Sri Lanka.
