Indian table tennis player Ankur Bhattacharjee wins maiden WTT men’s singles title in Czechia

Indian table tennis player Ankur Bhattacharjee has won his maiden WTT men’s singles title at the WTT Feeder Olomouc tournament in Czechia. He also secured the men’s doubles gold with fellow Indian Akash Pal.

World number 78 defeated third seed Slovenia’s Deni Kozul 3-1 in the singles final to complete a memorable campaign. Earlier, Ankur and Akash Pal defeated Hungary’s Csaba Andras Szantosi and Poland’s Alan Kulczycki Zalewski 3-1 in the men’s doubles final.

Ankur, who was a finalist at the Europe Youth Smash in Sweden in 2025, had already reached two quarterfinals and two semifinals in 2026 before claiming his maiden WTT title in Olomouc
