Earlier, electing to bat after winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings made 156 for 4 in their twenty overs. Dwayne Bravo was the top scorer with an unbeaten 62 off 36 balls.

Rajasthan Royals have won all their five matches so far. For the Chennai team, it is their first defeat in four games.
