IPL-08 SRH Beat Table Topper CSK by 22 Runs At Home

In the IPL ,the Sunrisers Hyderabad Won by 22 runs over table topper Chennai Super Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium , Hyderabad on Saturday night. With the win SRH jumped to 3rd position in the Points Table.

Chasing SRH’s 192/2 , the CSK’s could make 170 in the stipulated 20 overs by losing six wickets. SHR bowlers snared wickets at regular intervals to over come fancied opponent CSK.

It was the 13th over when the game tunred on its head as du Plessis (33) and Dhoni (20) were dismissed. Dhoni was run out. Despite Dwayne Bravo’s effort, CSK met the defeat.

For SRH ,Bhuvneswar Kumar and Henriques took two wickets each.

David Warner was the Man of the Match for his 28 ball 61.

Earlier skipper David Warner powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to 192/7 in 20 overs .Put to bat, opener Warner smashed a 28-ball 61, which included 11 boundaries and one six, to set up the platform, which the host team needed.

The left-hander was well assisted by opening partner Shikhar Dhawan. Together they struck an impressive 86-run partnership for the opening wicket.

After Warner got out, Dhawan anchored the innings with a solid 37.

Later in the innings, Eoin Morgan (32 not out) and wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha (20) struck important cameos to take the hosts to more than a challenging total.

Medium pacer Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the Super Kings bowlers as he picked up three wickets for 25 in his four overs while Ashish Nehra, Suresh Raina and Pawan Megi picked up a wicket each.
