ISRO Would Concentrate On Developing Technology For India To Reach Out Globally : A S Kiran Kumar

ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar Saturday asserted that ISRO would concentrate on developing technology for India and then it would reach out globally.

Congratulating the ISRO team for its untiring effort in making today’s launch successful and winning the Gandhi peace prize , Kiran Kumar said that ISRO’s contribution to the Indian society at large has been recognised

Speaking to newsmen at Sriharikota, he told that the constellation of IRNSS satellites would cater to the needs of India and the area situated around 1500 kms.

He said that ISRO was planning to complete all the remaining satellites for the constellation before March next year.

Replying to another query, he told that in 18 months time SAARC satellite would be put in orbit. He said that the Mars orbiter was performing satisfactorily and the methane sensors analysis was positive and told that the conclusive information could be astonishing.
