ITI Limited contributes for ISRO’s prestigious GSLV MkIII Launch

ITI Limited, country’s first public sectorunit, has contributed the manufacturing of electronic assembly forGSLF MkIII recently launched by ISRO.

The electronic packages fabricated at ITI Palakkad plant weresuccessfully flown in the GSLV MkIII. The packages of 12 nos. ofData Processing Units (DPU) V3L and 22 nos. of Remote Mount Safe Arm(RMSA) were used in the manufacturing of India’s first developmentflight, a ITI release said here Wednesday.

ITI has been collaborating with Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre(VSSC) since 2010.

An exclusive ‘Electronic Space Fabrication Centre’ has been setup in the Plant for the manufacturing of space products for VSSC andother ISRO units and the facility is accredited by VSSC,Thiruvananthapuram. The highly skilled manpower have been trainedand certified at VSSC with expertise for space quality production.

ITI Palakkad is the only work center entrusted with the assemblyand testing of RMSA which is being used in all space launches.

The Palakad unit has also set up an exclusive ‘ElectronicComponent Screening Lab’ as well as testing facilities for Avionics& Radio Frequency (RF) packages to meet the demand of Space andDefence segments and handle the additional requirements.
