Javadekar Appeals To Run Campaign ‘Count Green’

Union Minister for Environment and Forest Prakash Javadekar has appealed to the people run a campaign called ‘Count Green’ in their respective areas of villages and cities.

This movement should become peoples movement, he said.

Addressing an inaugural function, ‘Lead Botanical Garden’ of Botany department of Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Javadekar said ‘Count Green’ is a unique and first of kinds in India.

Students from every schools, colleges should participate in this campaign with the help of education department with counting all trees in their areas.

The central government is taking various development works in the parts of the country as per Prime Miniser Narenda Modi’s motto ‘development without destruction’, Javadekar said and added that we should intact the bio-diversity in western ghat
