JD (U) To Take Action Against Jitan Ran Manjhi For Violating Whip

The chief whip of JD(U) in Bihar Assembly, Shravan Kumar, has said that the party would take a decision on former Chief Minister Jiten Ram Manjhi’s decision to stay away from the trust vote, after consultations with the top leadership.

He said, the relation of an unattached member, without party affiliation, cannot be severed with the parent party and the whip is applicable on an unattached member.

He said, the important point was whether a member had violated the Whip of the original party or not.

Barring Manjhi, who has been declared an unattached member after his expulsion from JD(U), other 12 rebels fell in line and had voted in favour of the motion on Wednesday, to avoid losing their membership.
