JD(U) to go whole hog to form non-BJP front

The JD(U) today informed that it would go whole hog to unite non BJP parties under an umbrella to inflict a crushing defeat to the BJP led NDA in the impending elections in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.

Taking a cue from the impressive success of Grand Alliance in the last Bihar Assembly election, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a meeting with party leaders and workers said the JD(U) was in favour of creating ananti-BJP front in poll bound states. He added that top party leaders were in touch with leaders of other secular parties to achieve the goal.

“Our party is positive about creating anti-BJP front in the country and party’s national leadership is keeping a watch on the progress being made in this regard,” he remarked.

The extended meeting of JD(U) was attended by office bearers of state executive, MLAs, MLCs, district party presidents and district party office bearers, held for the first time after the JD(U) led alliance registered an impressive victory in the last Assembly election.
