J&K: Top LeT terrorist Mohammad Ayub Lone killed in encounter with security forces

In Jammu & Kashmir, a district commander of LeT was killed in an encounter with security forces at Wakherwan Banderpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late this afternoon.

The slain terrorist has been identified as Mohammad Ayub Lone alias Ayub Lelhari of Lelhar village of Kakapora in Pulwama district.

A senior police official told AIR that the slain terrorist was moving in a Tavera make light vehicle and after reaching Wakherwan Banderpora he encountered with check point (naka) of security forces triggering gunfight.

In the brief gunfight, Ayub was killed on spot. A police cop was also injured in the shootout. One AK 47 rifle 03 magazines were recovered from the encounter site. The driver alongwith vehicle was arrested by the police.
