Karnataka Trounces Odisha To Register Second Win In Ranji

Defending champion Karnataka registered aninnings and 74 runs victory against Odisha in the Group ‘A’ RanjiTrophy match played at SDNRW Stadium here Tuesday.

The visitors who began their second innings with overnight totalof one wicket for zero, chasing 178 runs for win, lost its secondwicket with side score reading 10 and continued to lose wicket inregular intervals and were bundled out for 104 runs in 36.1 overs.

Anurag Sarangi (44) only player who showed some resistance forthe visitors.

Stuart Binny (4/34), Shreyas Gopal (3/43) and Vinya Kumar (2/7were the chief wicket takers for Karnataka.

With this second successive win, Karnataka gained seven pointsand the tally rose to 21 points from six matches having won two,drawn four. While Odisha has 9 points from five matches winning oneand drawn three and losing one.
