Kejriwal meets Union Minister Naidu , raises issue of full statehood of Delhi, to meet President of India and Home Minister today

Aam Aadmi party Chief Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday met Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu in Nirman Bhawan in Delhi. This is his first meeting with Union Government Minister after his historic victory in the Delhi Assembly election and being chosen Leader of the AAP legislative party Tuesday.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, Kejriwal sought cooperation on unauthorized colonies and demanded full statehood of Delhi.

Sisodia said that Kejriawal also sought land for new schools and Colleges and also for Parking place . The Union Urban Development Minister has assured to do the needful for the interest of the people and development of national capital region.

Later talking to media persons, Naidu described the meeting with Kejriwal as ‘friendly” also said that he assured the Delhi Chief Minister designate Kejriwal all help and assistance to the state as per the norms .

As per the guidance given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both Center and Delhi Government would work as a team . But it is the responsibility of AAP Government to fulfil the promises made.

Kejriwal is scheduled to meet President of India Pranab Mukherjee and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today . During his meeting with Home Minister Kejriwal would discuss the issues related to law and order in the national capital and statehood to Delhi, AAP sources said.

Kejriwal , who is scheduled to take oath of office as Chief Minister for the second time ,has also got an appointment with Prime minister Narendra Modi to meet him tomorrow- Thursday morning .

AAP sources said , Kejriwal is likely to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his swearing ceremony as Delhi Chief Minister at Ramliila Maidan on Feb 14 Delhi Chief Minister for the second time.
Kejriwal’s AAP has created a history by winning 67 of the total 70 seats of the Delhi assembly , the results of which was announced Tuesday.
