28 December, New Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today rejected the BJP’s demand for an apology to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the Delhi government DDCA report of reportedly not having any mention of Jaitley’s name.
.In a series of Tweets, Kejriwal said, the Delhi government has not given any clean chit to Arun Jaitley.”No clean chit ever given by any Del govt probe. That report confirmed several instances of wrongdoings but did not fix responsibility.””It didn’t mention ANYONE’s name n recommended Enquiry Commission to fix responsibility, which we have done now,” he said.
Addressing a press conference here today, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said there was no question of apologising as the probe has not given a clean chit to anybody. He said the probe has just begun and everybody have started giving clean chits to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. “If Arun Jaitley is innocent then why are you running from an inquiry commission? He should welcome the commission,” Sisodia said.
He said, “The Delhi Government had full faith on senior lawyer Gopal Subramaniam whose has been a part of several commissions.”The deputy CM asked was hiring computers for Rs 16,000 per day not a scam?
The BJP had yesterday demanded an apology from the Delhi government as it’s 247-page report on the DDCA had reportedly not mentioned the name of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
