Kellogg to provide free breakfast to 25,000 KISS tribal students

Kellogg India Pvt Ltd. will provide cornflakes with milk to 25,000 tribal students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here in their daily breakfast free of cost.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between KISS and Kellogg India in Mumbai Wednesday, KISS sources here said.

The management of Kellogg India took this decision after it was impressed with the institute providing education from KG to PG, healthcare, food and accommodation to thousands of tribal students absolutely free.

The MoU was signed between Shalini Bijaya Gopalan of Kellogg and Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KISS.

As a part of company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR), this programme will start from April 11. The company will also provide a bowl and spoon to every student for their breakfast.

KISS, the world’s largest free residential tribal institute, lays utmost importance on providing nutritious and hygienic food to its students.The institute has its own water filtration plant through reverse osmosis process.

“It will be a record to provide breakfast to 25,000 students by any single company and we are happy by providing this to KISS students,” Ms. Gopalan said after signing the MoU.

Dr Samanta thanked Kellogg India for the kind gesture.
