Kerala Becomes 1st Indian State To Attain Complete Primary Education

Kerala has become the first State in India to attain complete primary education.

Vice-President Dr. Hamid Ansari formally declared the State as the first one to achieve the target, at a function in Thiruvananthapuram this evening.

It may be recalled that Kerala was declared the first fully literate State in the country in April 1991.
