K’tka IAS Officer’s Mysterious Death : Parents Stage Protest Before Secretariat, demand CBI Probe

The parents of deceased IAS officer DK Ravi staged a protest outside the State Secretariat building in Bengaluru Wednesday .

The grieved parents Kariappa and Gowramma demanded a CBI probe into the mysterious death of their son.

Speaking to media persons, the mother Gowramma said that they will commit suicide if the case is not handed over to CBI. They have also asked the Government to appoint D K Ravi’s wife, Kusuma to the post held by her husband.

Meanwhile, both Houses of the state legislature were adjourned Wednesday without transacting any business as Opposition parties BJP and JD(S) continued their dharna, demanding CBI probe against the death of IAS officer D K Ravi.

In another development, the Government has transferred the Inspector General of Police, Pronab Mohanty from the Crime Investigation Department that is probing the alleged suicide of D K Ravi. He is replaced by Inspector General of Police, Pratap Reddy.

In another development, a delegation of BJP MPs from Karnataka today met Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his office in New Delhi.

The delegation led by former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa demanded a CBI enquiry into the mysterious death of a young IAS officer D K Ravi in Bangaluru. Later talking to media, Chemical and Fertilisers Minister Ananth Kumar said that the Home Minister has assured them of a fair and impartial enquiry into the incident
