Maharashtra govt declares Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic as tax free

The Maharashtra government Friday declared Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ as tax free in state.

The state government took the decision to waive off entertainment tax to honour the contribution of Tendulkar in the world of sports and to ensure that the film reaches maximum number of people in theaters.

States like Odisha, Kerala and Chhattisgarh have already declared the film as tax free.
