Mamata Running An Intolerant Government In Bengal: CPI(M)

12 November, Kolkata

Amid nationwide intolerance protests, CPI(M) MP Mohammed Salim Wednesday accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of running an intolerant government in West Bengal.

In a press meet here, Salim alleged there was no law and order in the state now and that state government has done nothing for the closed tea-garden workers and jute-mill laborers.

Claiming that Chief Minister was practicing politics without any fixed ideology, CPI(M) MP said TMC supremo Banerjee kept a good relation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to save his political leaders from CBI investigation in Saradha case and at the same time she tweeted in favour of Nitish Kumar during Bihar state assembly polls.

To a query on next year’s state assembly elections, he said Left Front was united again to replace the present state government. Left Front will seek their people’s support to bring back the democratic government in state, he added.
