Manoj Tiwari along with party workers participates in “Swachhta drive” in Delhi

Delhi BJP workers led by President Manoj Tiwari Sunday participated in Swachhta & Suchita Divas programmes on the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s birthday which is also celebrated as “Good Governance Day”.
Union Ministers Harsh Vardhan and Vijay Goel, MPs Anurag Thakur, Maheish Girri, Meenakshi Lekhi, Ramesh Bidhuri, Dr Udit Raj, Delhi BJP’s Organisational General Secretary Sidharthan, Leader of Opposition in Assembly Vijendra Gupta and former Pradesh Presidents Prof V K Malhotra, Mange Ram Garg & Satish Upadhyay also took up Good Governance & social help programmes.
As part of the programmes, over 25,000 active workers from BJP’s 280 Mandals in the city joined the campaign spread across Delhi at around 1,400 points. Municipal Councillors and MLAs actively led the sanitation drives while the MPs held good governance meets talking to prominent citizens of the capital. Workers held sanitation drives in neighbourhood parkssurroundings, around markets and hospitals and on major PWD roads.
Tiwari took the lead by joining the partymen in a sanitation drive in his constituency at Malka Ganj and Roshanara Road along with Delhi BJP’s vice-president Kuljeet Chahal and District President Ajay Mahawar. Later, the Delhi BJP President along with MP Meenakshi Lekhi led New Delhi District Workers in clearing debris from under Mool Chand flyover.They also joined a programme of Sanitation Promotion & Good Governance Meet organised by NDMC at Connaught Place.
In the afternoon, Tiwari joined MP Dr Udit Raj at a Good Governance Meet promoting benefits of Cashless Economy at Village Mundka.Addressing a big gathering of people at the village, the Delhi BJP President said Vajpayee’s Government was the first government of free India which was totally transparent and taint free which marked first ”Good governance Era” in Indian polity. Tiwari called upon the people to help the Prime Minister in making the programmes of Cashless Economy & Swatch Bharat a success as both the programmes stand to ultimately benefit the poorest of poor living in villages.
Late in the evening, Tiwari along with Sports Minister Vijay Goel joined a musical concert celebrating Atal ji’s birthday.
