Maracxh-Martin Bag ATP Chennai Open Doubls Title

The unseeded pair of Oliver Marach(Austria) and Fabrice Martin(France) baggged their first ATP Tour doubles titleplaying togetherfor the first time with a 6-3, 7-5 win overAustin Krajicek(US) and Benoit Paire(France) in the final here.

There was some drama in the match on the centre court, but Marach amd Martincoped better with the pressure and excelled with better play as well as servein the fist set in which they had two breaks.

The defeat also dashed Paire’s hopes of winning another Chennai Opendoubles title after the 2013 win partnering Stanislas Wawrinka. Paire had bowed out in the singles semi final losing to his “good friend” Wawrinka yesterday. It was some consolation to Paire that he then made it to the doubles final.
