Maritime security and strong connectivity high on agenda during India-Italy Talks
New Delhi, May 18
In the last leg of his five-nation visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Rome, Italy, on a two-day state visit tomorrow at the invitation of his Italian counterpart, Ms Georgia Meloni.
Prime Minister Modi will have bilateral talks with Prime Minister Meloni. He will also call on the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. Mr. Modi is scheduled to hold talks with business leaders to further promote trade and investment between the two countries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Italy on the 19th and 20th of this month. This visit aims at enhancing India’s strategic partnership across various sectors. Mr. Modi will hold delegation-level talks with the Prime Minister of Italy with a focus on maritime security and strong connectivity. Italy gives India access to the entire Mediterranean region.
