Men’s Hockey World Cup-2023: New Zealand enters quarterfinals beating India in penalty shoot-out

India lost 4-5 to New Zealand in the penalty shoot-out of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup-2023 crossover match at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar today. The match moved into the penalties after both India and New Zealand tied at 3 goals each in the full time.

Earlier in the day, Spain also beat Malaysia 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out in the same venue. It will lock horns with Australia in quarters. Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands and England have already entered the quarterfinals.

On Monday, Germany will be up against France while Argentina will lock horns with South Korea.
