Militant Hideout Busted In Sopore In J&K

Security forces have busted one militant hideout and recovered a cache of arms and ammunitions including six AK rifles. 33 IEDs and 43 grenades, in Sopore tehsil of Baramulla district in North Kashmir.

Police sources Wednesday confirmed that a joint operation by Army’s 27 Rashtriya Rifles and J&K Police was launched on a tip off Tuesday in Sagipora forests area of Bomai Sopore, around 55 Kms from Srinagar. Police spokesman said, one militant hideout was busted and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered which included 6 AK Rifles, 50 AK-Magazine, 3 Pistols and 30 Grenades.
