Mining Baron Janardhan Reddy Granted Bail

Karnataka Former Minister and mining baronG Janardhan Reddy, arrested on illegal iron ore mining charges, wasgranted conditional bail by the Lokayukta Special Court Monday.
SIT sleuths, who filed a fresh FIR in connection with illegaliron ore mining by Black Gold Iron Ore Mines and Minerals to theextent of 3000 mt, arrested Reddy on November 21 when he came to CBIoffice to sign the attendance as per one of the bail condition onhis release in 13 other similar cases.
Judge V G Bopaiah, who had reserved his order on Reddy’s bailplea, today granted bail on the condition of producing bond for Rs five lakh and two surieties for equal amount. Reddy was alsodirected to appear before the investigating officer whenever calledand not to tamper with the evidence.
