Naveen launches new startup portal, urges youth to take full advantage

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Monday launched a start up Odisha portal and asked the youth to take full advantage of the initiative to realise their dreams.

Launching the portal at a function here, Patnaik said the portal will act as a catalyst in boosting and achieving the mission 1000 start ups by 2020. He complimented the collaborative efforts of team MSME, Team Invest India and NOC for developing the start up portal.

The portal, he said, has been carefully crafted adhering to the three principles of ease of usage, transparency and knowledge sharing.

The chief minister said efforts would be made to position Odisha among three top startup destination in the country.

He further said for developing the startup eco system in the state, the state government has identified access to infrastructure, mentorship and guidelines, national and global exposure and access to funding as the major levers of growth.

The Odisha startup portal, he said, will be a one stop platform for startups, incubators and investors in Odisha for the purpose of registration and availing benefits under the Startup Policy.

He said the government has recently made upward revision of benefits available to the startups and incubators under the Odisha Startup policy.
