Naveen unveils logo for birth centenary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday unveiled the logo of the birth centenary celebration of legendary leader and former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.

Odisha government has decided to celebrate the birth centenary of Biju Patnaik throughout the year beginning from March 5, the birth day of the great leader.

A beautifully framed photograph of the late leader with the words birth centenary celebration written on it was unveiled. The year of birth of Biju Patnaik (1916) and the centenary celebration year 2016 (1916-2016) were scripted on it.

At least a dozen ministers of the Naveen Patnaik government including excise minister Damodar Rout, finance minister Pradip Kumar Amat, industries minister Debi Prasad Mishra were present at the unveiling ceremony.

The function was also attended by chief secretary A P Padhi, development commissioner R Balkrishnan and several other secretaries.

An executive committee under the chairmanship of chief secretary A P Padhi was also formed the smooth celebration of the function.

The government has already announced several committees led by the minister to celebrate the birth centenary of Biju Patnaik both inside and outside the country.
