NDA Govt. Is Following Road Map For Overall Development Of India : Jaitley

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that government is following a road map for overall development of the country.
He was speaking at the simultaneous launch of three social security schemes -Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana in a function held at Mumbai University fort campus Saturday evening.
The Minister said that the ambitious schemes are indeed the integral part of government’s policies.
He said government aims to make India a pensioned society by providing social safety net and the facility of pension to individuals; especially to the large number of people working in unorganized sector.
Slamming opposition parties for stalling the progress of the country by preventing passage of the GST Constitution Amendment Bill, Mr. Jaitley said that Goods and Service Tax (GST) aims to herald an economic integration of India.
He said that with GST the entire country will become one uniform market where there would a seamless transfer of goods and services.
He added that GST would add to Maharashtra’s share of revenue and accelerate state’s economic activities and growth prospects.
The Finance Minister also spoke about the year long performance of Modi governemnt. He said that in the entire year the governemnt remained firm on its policies and commitments.
He said during the year the government has not committed even a single mistake while framing policies.
Speaking about the biggest achievement of Modi government, Jaitley said that throughout the year the government has maintained transparency in its dealings and decision making. He stated that it’s during Modi’s regime that the word Corruption has been removed from political dictionary.
He added that the government is ambitious to achieve a double-digit growth in coming times.
Highlighting some of the positive economic decisions of Modi government, Jaitely informed that the center has gained considerable revenue with the spectrum auction and coal block allocations.
He said that in the coming times the government would focus on creating more favorable atmosphere for expansion of trade and industries.
He also stated that government is taking steps to improve tax system in India adding that government will strive to bring down the corporate tax at global level.
