Nitish Kumar To Take Oath As Bihar CM For Record 5th Time Friday

Senior Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar will take oath tomorrow- Friday as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the record 5th time. His grand coalition won a three fourth majority in the just-concluded assembly polls.

Governor Ramnath Kovind will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Kumar in a ceremony at historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna at 2.00 pm. Besides Mr. Kumar council of ministers of his new government would also take oath.

Nitish Kumar has said proper representation would be given to all constituents parties RJD, JD(U) and Congress of the alliance in his cabinet. Sources said Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi , Chief ministers of nine states including Akhilesh Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee confirmed to attend the function.

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Rajiv Pratap Rudy would attend the swearing in ceremony as representatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A tight security arrangements have been made in view of the high profile event in the state capital.
