No Place For 3rd Party’s Involvement For Resolution of India-Pak Issues : Govt. Of India

23 March, New Delhi

New Delhi Monday reiterated that there is no place for a third party’s involvement for resolution of India-Pakistan issues.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Sayed Akbaruddin said that the only way forward to proceed on all outstanding issues is a peaceful bilateral dialogue within the framework of Simla Agreement and Lahore Declaration.

He said, there should be no scope for misunderstanding India’s position on the role of the so called Hurriyat. The reaction came in response to a question on Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit’s statement that India has no objection to Hurriyat leaders being invited on Pakistan National Day.
