Odisha BJP to launch special “ Booth Chalo, Sadasya Banao” drive from Jan 23

Odisha BJP on Monday announced to launch a “Booth Chalo, Sadasya Banao” drive from January 23 coinciding the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose to meet the target of 40 lakh members by March 31.
Addressing a press conference at the state party head quarter here , the Odisha pravari, Arun Singh said that in order to strengthen BJP from the grass root level, the special two day membership drive would aim to add 100 persons at every booth . The party has already enrolled 10 lakh members in the state, he said.
Singh said that a training programme at the party headquarter would be organized tomorrow, which would be attended by 890 leaders from the 445 Mandals in the state . During the training programme, strategies would be prepared how to bring the new members to the party fold.
Each mandal will be led by one Sadasya Pravari and Sadasya Saha Pravari during the special membership drive, the BJP leader said.
Stating that so far BJP has registered 4 crore members at the national level , Singh said that it was targeted to rope in 10 crore members by March 31. “If we achieve this mark, our party will rank as the largest party in the world,” he said.
Accusing that the ruling Biju Janata Dal has unleashed goonda raj in the state , the BJP leader said that the ruling Biju Janta Dal had been resorting to violence against his party workers being scared on the growing organizational strength and popularity after the visit of the National President Amit Shah.
The BJP has decided to constitute a three-member committee led by party spokesperson Sameer Mohanty to go into the incidence of attack on the BJP workers and submit a report to the Director General of Police, demanding action against the culprits.
The party has lodged FIRs against BJD leaders for attack on the BJP workers at Ghantagaon in Keonjhar district, Vani Vihar here, Dharmasala in Jajpur district and in Anandpur, he said and alleged so far no action had been taken against the culprits.
He said that very soon , his state party would organize statewide agitation against the BJD Government for its involvement in chit fund scam, the coal scam, the land scam and other corruption cases .
Very soon , number of BJD leaders and Ministers would be inside jail for their alleged involvement in the Chit fund scam, he said.
