Odisha govt clears two projects worth over Rs 1002 crore

Two industrial projects proposals worth over Rs 1002 crore were today cleared by the single window clearance committee headed by Odisha state Chief Secretary A P Padhi.

IPICOL General Manager Kalyan Mohanty told news persons here that the committee approved a proposal of the BMW industries to set up a steel processing plant at Kalinganagar in Jajpur district at a cost of Rs 900 crore.

Mr Mohanty said the company which has its presence now at Jamshedpur and Howarah proposed to take steel from TATA and Jindal and produce galvanized steel, tube and colour sheet.

The company, he said, has asked for 100 acres of land and the land would be allotted after the requirement was assessed by the authorities.

The proposed plant has potential to create direct job opportunities for 600 persons.
Similarly, the proposal of L L Logistic, a Raipur based company to set up a Rs 102 crore logistic park at Indranipatna in between Chowdwar and Khuntuni was also approved by the committee.

The company, Mr Mohanty said, has asked for 60 acres of land to set up a 80,000 metric ton ware house, 2500 tonnes cold store and a container stacking.The company, has potential to create direct job opportunities for 460 people.

In addition to it, the meeting also discussed an assessment report submitted to the government by MECON on the Ferro Alloys Plant infrastructure requirement, the GM said.
