Odisha put on high alert to deal with possible terrorist attack

Odisha has been put t on high alert following Intelligence Bureau (IB) warned that terrorists operating from Pakistan are planning an attack in the state this month.
As per IB inputs four states- Odisha, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are on the terrorist target.
Director General of Odisha Police, Sanjib Mark, told media persons at Bhubaneswar that all the district superintendents of police in the state have been asked to remain vigilant, while some of them have been asked to remain extra vigilant.
He said, the militants are likely to attack sensitive areas of the state including a few soft targets. He said all steps are being taken by the state police to thwart any such militant attacks.
Security has been tightened across the state ahead of Republic Day celebrations on Monday. An extra vigil is being mounted in border districts and 480-km long coast line of the state.
The Intelligence Bureau reports say that Pakistan-based terror outfits Jamaat-ul-Dawa, Jaish- e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen have dispatched four groups to India for carrying out terror attacks in Odisha, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The terrorists, as per the inputs gathered by the Intelligence Bureau, have already infiltrated into these states.
