Odisha To Occupy Top 3 Position In Ease Of Doing Business: Naveen

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday said efforts are on to improve the position of the state from the current seventh position to top three among the states in terms of Ease of Doing Business.
Addressing a seminar organised by the MSME department to deliberate on the role of Industries Promotion Officers (IPO) in the entrepreneur ship development in the state, Patnaik said in the present environment of industrialisation, ease of doing business is a significant factor for attracting potential investors.
He said continuous dialogues and discussions be held to understand the concerns of the investors and steps should be taken to address their concerns.
The officers, particularly the IPOs, must work towards creating an atmosphere of industrial environment which encourages potential investors to set up their manufacturing units in the State.
MSME sector is one of the highest employment provider in any economy after agriculture and the state government has taken a number of initiatives to promote 77, Patnaik pointed out.
