Omar Mocks at BJP, Seeks Clarification on CM Mufti Sayeed’s Controversial Statement

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday took a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party workers celebrating the formation of a coalition government with the PDP in the state.

Omar sought the BJP to clarify is stand on the controversial statement of Mufti Mahammad Sayeed after taking oath of office as Chief Minister of J&K.

Posting a picture of jubilant BJP workers bursting crackers and distributing sweets in Raipur on his twitter account, Omar asked, “But what about PDP workers in Kashmir???”

“Or just thanking Pak for JK election,” he added.

Omar had earlier come down heavily on newly elected Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for stating that the Hurriyat, Pakistan and militants had allowed a conducive atmosphere for the recent assembly polls in the state.
“Pakistan, Huriyaat and Militants ALLOWED peaceful conduct of elections” says Mufti Syed. I guess we should be grateful for their generosity,” he posted on twitter.

“Dear @BJP4India please explain roll of security forces and polling staff considering your CM just said “Pakistan allowed elections in J and K”,” he added.

Sayeed, who was sworn-in as the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir earlier in the day, has stated that he forged the alliance with BJP out of conviction not convenience.
