Opposition slam RSS Chief Mohan Bhagabat for controvisal remark on Mother Teresa

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s controverisal remarks that conversion to Christianity was the main motive behind Mother Teresa’s service to the poor, has sparked row in political level . Opposition parties condemned Mohan Bhagabat’s statement .

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, senior Congress leader Kamal Nath said that the statement showed the true face of BJP and its outfits.Questioning Mother Teresa’s services to the nation reflects the character of the ruling party, he said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that Mother Teresa be spared.

In a tweet, the Delhi Chief Minister has described her as a noble soul, with whom he had worked for a few months at an ashram in Kolkata.

CPI leader D Raja said that such remarks are aimed at fanning communal tensions in the country. He said the government must explain its stand whether it supports the remarks or not.

BSP Chief Mayawati also condemned Mr. Bhagwat’s remarks.

Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav also objected to the remarks of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat that conversion to Christianity was the main motive behind Mother Teresa’s service to the poor.

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Yadav said that the statement is wrong. He said, even former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had given a lot of respect to her.
