Pakistan Official Meets Ramzan In Bhopal

A Pakistani boy Ramzan, who has been staying in a child home here for the past two years, expressed desire to return to his mother in that country. Ramzan said this to First Secretary (Visa) of Pakistan Embassy Khadim Hussain, who met the boy at Ummid Friday evening.

The child home is run under local organisation Aarambh. Mr Hussain came with Deputy Secretary of External Ministry Sanjay Kumar and talked to the boy for about 45 minutes. Ramzan became emotional during the meeting and told the officials that he is keen to return to his mother in Pakistan, Director, Aarambh Archana Sahay said.

The boy also narrated the entire episode of how he came to neighbouring Bangladesh from Pakistan along with his father and step-mother. He fled from Bangladesh following torture meted out by his step-mother and somehow, landed in this City of Lakes on October 22, 2013. The GRP personnel took him to Aaarambh.

Ms Sahay said that Hussain would submit his report to the Pakistan government and a discussion would be held between officials of the two countries and after which a final decision would be taken. She also provided copies of all documents, related Ramzan, to Pakistan officer.

The hope of Ramzans deportation to Pakistan has increased after the Indian girl Geeta was returned back from Pakistan recently, the sources said.
