PM Addresses Mauritius National Assembly , Lays Foundation Of World Hindi Secretariat Building

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated a strong strategic partnership with Mauritius.

Addressing the national assembly of Mauritius Thursday , Modi said that Mauritius is one of the most trusted and time tested friend of India.

He said the strong security arrangement in Indian Ocean region is need of the time. He said India is not allow to suffer Mauritius due to double taxation treaty.

There was a great applause in the House when Prime Minister Modi offered cooperation for establishing second cyber city in Mauritius.Earlier, Speaker Santi Bai welcomed Modi and said that life and working of Modi is a matter of inspiration for several.

Later addressing a function Thursday at Port Louis in Mauritius after laying foundation of building at World Hindi Secretariat, Prime Minister Modi has urged the people to take initiative for strengthening their languages.

Prime Minister underlined the significant contribution of Mauritius in promotion and strengthening of Hindi language.

Referring to the recently held Pravasi Bhartiya Divas function at Gujarat, He said above 150 books written in Mauritius in Hindi were exhibited in the exhibition on the occasion. Mr Modi said that literature written in Mauritius is not inked only by the pen but it has essence of sweat of Mauritian.
