PM Modi congratulates Lovlina Borgohain, Parveen, Ankush & Sujeet Kalkal on winning gold medals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Lovlina Borgohain on winning Gold in the Women’s 75 kg boxing event at the Asian Games. In a series of social media posts, Mr Modi said that her sporting journey reflects remarkable determination and excellence.
The Prime Minister has also congratulated Nethra Kumanan on winning the Bronze Medal in the Women’s Dinghy event. He said this is indeed a great accomplishment for India. Prime Minister Modi further congratulated the Indian Men’s Quadrant Team on winning the Bronze Medal at the Asian Games.
PM Modi said that this is India’s first-ever medal in the Men’s Quadrant event at the Games. He highlighted that their determination and fighting spirit are exemplary.
The Prime Minister extended congratulations to Parveen on winning the Women’s 65kg Boxing Gold after a hard-fought final. He lauded her achievement, saying that it adds another glorious chapter to Indian boxing.
PM Modi noted that her success is motivating and highlighted her dedication to sporting excellence. He also congratulated Ankush on winning the Men’s 80kg Boxing Gold with an emphatic victory in the final. Mr Modi said that Ankush’s passion and dedication are noteworthy.
He congratulated Sujeet Kalkal on winning the Men’s 65kg Freestyle Wrestling Gold. The Prime Minister commended that on his Asian Games debut, Sujeet has delivered India’s first Wrestling Gold of this edition.
PM Modi said that the people of India are rejoicing in the success of the Women’s Hockey Team, who brought home the coveted Gold at the Asian Games and that too after over 4 decades.
Praising the team, he said that this is the result of outstanding skills and teamwork, and their determination is very inspiring. PM Modi wished continued success to all the athletes, saying that they should continue to scale new heights and inspire a new generation of athletes across the country.
