PM Modi exhorts youth for innovation, experiment & entrepreneurship

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said, research and innovation are technology’s soul and the government has taken many steps promoting innovation.
Addressing 22nd edition of his Mann Ki Baat on All India Radio, Mr Modi exhorted youth for innovation, experiment and entrepreneurship.
He said, NITI Ayog is trying to promote Atal Innovation Mission in a big way.
The Prime Minister said, Government has taken initiative of Atal Tinkering Labs for next generation innovators.
Modi said, schools which set up tinkering labs, will be given Rs.10 lakh each and another additional 10 lakh for maintenance.
Saying incubation centre is directly related to innovation, Prime minister laid emphasis on setting up new incubation centres.
Modi said, government has thought of providing Rs. 10 crore to Atal Incubation Centres. He said, people should start finding out technological solution to different problems.
He urged the new generation to contribute more in research and innovation to build modern India which will be great tribute to late President A P J Abdul Kalam.
Speaking on health issues, the Prime Minister asked people to prevent spread of dengue in this rainy season. He advised people not to take antibiotics without consulting doctors.
Modi said, to reduce maternal mortality rate, government has launched a new campaign Pradhanmantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan.He said state governments and centre are working closely to help the flood affected people.
Prime minister said, the CAMPA law passed by Parliament will provide 40 thousand crore rupees for the purpose of afforestation.
Commending the efforts of states like Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat for their missions for afforestation, Prime Minister urged people to make plantation a movement.
Saying, the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and climate change, Mr Modi said, Indian epics like Bhagwad Gita and Mahabharat also mentions about the importance of plantation.
Mentioning about Khandu Maruti Mahatre, a farmer from Pune, Mr Modi said, Mahatre distributed plants to his relatives and friends during his daughter’s marriage.
He reiterated that farmers should plant timbers near their plaughing fields.
Speaking about his visit to South Africa and meeting the colleagues of Nelson Mandela, Mr Modi said, equality and equal opportunity is the biggest mantra for any society and Government.
Making a reference to fraud and cheating through email and sms, the Prime Minister said, cheating through technology is increasing all over the world and people should be aware of the digital fraud. He said, people must stay alert and make others aware on the issue.
Modi also urged people to gift Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojana or Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana to mothers and sisters on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
He also asked people to gift these insurance schemes to poor women like maid servants and cooks.
Saying that he has spent some moments with the youth of Delhi, Prime minister said, whole of country has lots of expectations from the players who will participate in Rio.
