PM Modi To Confer Awards For Excellence In Public Administration To Civil Service Officers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address Civil Services Day function in New Delhi tomorrow, Tuesday. He will also confer awards for excellence in public administration to civil service officers.

An official release said, the two day programme to be organised on the occasion will be inaugurated by Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances this afternoon. Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani will chair a session on social sector.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also release a book on ‘Best Practices- Tomorrow is Here’. The focus for this year will be on minimum government, maximum governance with emphasis on social sector, housing, employment and skill development and agriculture.

The day is observed by all officers of the central and state governments to rededicate and recommit themselves to the people.
