PM Modi to set the BJP’s poll ball running in Odisha today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Odisha today to dedicate the new campus of IIT-Bhubaneswar at Arugul in the outskirts of capital city Bhubaneswar.
During his brief visit in the afternoon , Prime Minister will also launch a slew of projects worth Rs.14,523 crore in higher education, health, road and highways and culture via video conferencing.
“PM will unveil several infrastructe projects worth 14,523 crore in line with his vision of “Purvodaya’ a prosperous East for building a new India”, said Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Modi will lay foundation for four highway projects with a combined investment of Rs.4359 crore.The projects include six-laning of Chandikhol-Bhadrakh section of NH-5 , four-laning of Cuttack-Angul section of NH-42 on EPC mode, a fly-over at Khandagiri junction in Bhubaneswar , according to official sources.
The PM will also dedicate the renovated and upgraded 100 bed ESI Hospital in the new Block equipped with state-of-the art infrastructure and modern facilities.
As per the programme, Modi will also issue Paika Rebellion Commemorative Stamp and Paika Rebellion Commemorative Coin, establish Buxi Jagabandhu Research Chair at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar besides inaugurating Archaeological Museum, Lalitgiri in Jajpur District.
Meanwhile , the BJP is all set to use the PM’s visit for poll campaign for the upcoming general election to Lok Sabha and State Assembly by organizing a public meeting near the foot-hills of historic Barunei hills near Khurda.
As part of the poll strategy to oust the 19 year old BJD Government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik , the BJP has arranged Modi’s visit twice in January. Prime Minister will visit Baripada on January 5 followed by another trip to Bolangir on January 16 to address public meetings.
“Outster of Naveen Patnaik Government and formation of BJP Government in Odisha is certain . Not5hing can stop the BJP from coming to power in the state”, said Arun Singh BJP Odisha incharge.
