PM Reviews Security Situation In Pathankot Airbase

Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanied with Air Chief Marshal Saturday reviewed the security situation at the Pathankot Airbase station.

He had a meeting with senior Air Force officers and got first hand assessment of the post attack situation. He was also apprised of the loopholes and told how the terrorists’ attempt to destroy the assets of Air Force at airbase was foiled by the security forces.

Prime Minister also saw the proof regarding Pakistani origin of the attackers.

Meanwhile, NIA has told the two phone numbers detected by them are registered in the name of Faizan and Maulana in Pakistan.

One of the phone numbers was used by the terrorist to have a talk with handlers. NIA has also questioned military and engineering services wing regarding non-functioning of floodlights on stretch of wall, which is believed to breached by terrorists to enter the airbase.

The employees maintaining the floodlight have been taken in custody for interrogation.
