PM says environment must be protected for future generations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated India’s commitments on climate change saying the environment must be protected for future generations. He said, there is worldwide discussion about the steps taken by the country for conservation of environment in the last three years.
Addressing a function of SPIC MACAY in New Delhi through video conference, Modi said, the world is looking towards India in this regard and therefore the country has to create awareness among the youth to protect the environment.
The Prime Minister also said, Indian culture, art, music, literature and different languages are priceless heritage and the country can not move forward by ignoring them.
Modi said, it is people’s responsibility to preserve and strengthen the heritage. He said music connects the society and gives the message of unity by breaking the silos of religion, caste and creed.
