Prof Soumendra Pattnaik appointed as new VC of Utkal University

Odisha Governor and Chancellor Dr S C Jamir today appointed Prof Soumendra Patnaik as the new Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University.

Dr Patnaik at present working as Professor of Anthropology of Delhi University will hold office for a period of three years with effect from the day he assumes his new charge. Prof Patnaik was President of International Anthropology Association.

He was a Full Bright Nehru visiting Fellow at Virginia Tech University and has authored three books and published 33 research papers in national and international journals.
